ISLAMABAD: Turkish security forces have “neutralized” 12 YPG/PKK terrorists in northern Syria, said to the Turkish National Defense Ministry on Tuesday.
These terrorists were targeted during the military operations of ‘Olive Branch and Operation Euphrates Shield zones.’

Turkish defense authorities use the term “neutralize” to visualize the relevant terrorists who gave themselves up, died, or are apprehended.
Ankara has launched three successful counterterrorism strikes, on the pretext of avoiding the creation of a terror corridor and promoting the peaceful settling of people across its border, in northern Syria since 2016: Euphrates Shield (2016), Olive Branch (2018), and Peace Spring (2019).
The PKK/YPG, which is considered a terrorist group by Turkiye, the US, and the European Union (EU), has carried out a more than 35-year terror campaign against Turkiye and killed over 40,000 people, including women, children, and babies.
