Turkish University Offers Scholarships for Pakistani Students

ISLAMABAD: In a significant opportunity for Pakistani students aspiring to study abroad, Ankara-based TED University has announced scholarships for enrollment in various undergraduate and graduate programs for the Fall 2024 semester. The initiative, announced during a Devcom-Pakistan webinar on Sunday, aims to facilitate Pakistani students in pursuing quality education in Turkey.

TED University’s international programs office said that prospective students from Pakistan will have access to scholarships ranging from 25% to 100%, based on their academic achievements and other credentials. Notably, applicants will be exempted from the requirement of GRE or English language proficiency tests, streamlining the admission process.

Can Öney, from the International Programmes Office, highlighted TED University’s standing as one of Ankara’s premier educational institutions, boasting a distinguished faculty committed to providing academic support and guidance to students. The university offers an array of facilities encompassing education, healthcare, and recreational amenities.

The undergraduate programs available span across diverse fields such as architecture, psychology, business administration, engineering, and education, among others. Likewise, the graduate programs offer opportunities in specialized areas including applied data science, economics, engineering management, and migration studies, among others.

With a current student body of approximately 5,000 students, TED University maintains a favorable faculty-to-student ratio of 24:1, facilitating personalized attention and guidance. Furthermore, students have access to research opportunities and industry collaborations, supported by the university’s directorate of research, technology, and innovation.

Haares Munir, Head of International Student Community, highlighted the welcoming and supportive environment at TED University. Munir highlighted the significance of outdoor educational trips and leadership development opportunities offered by the university.

Acknowledging the historical ties between Turkey and Pakistan, Devcom-Pakistan Executive Director Munir Ahmed emphasized the importance of fostering closer bilateral relations through educational exchanges and cultural collaborations. He advocated for enhanced interactions between the two nations to leverage mutual strengths and deepen understanding.

Levent Ocal, Head of International Programmes Office at TED University, expressed gratitude to Pakistani families for entrusting their children’s education to Turkey. Ocal affirmed Turkey’s commitment to welcoming Pakistani students and fostering a sense of brotherhood between the two countries.
