ISLAMABAD: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, a Pakistani charity organization, bagged the prestigious “Supreme Sacrifice of the Republic of Turkiye” award from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The recognition comes as a result of the Foundation’s vital contributions to rescue, search, and aid operations following the devastating earthquake on 6 February in Turkiye
When the devastating earthquake shook Turkiye on 6 February, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan stepped up, contributing to crucial search, rescue, and aid operations.
Comprising forty-seven dedicated members, the team, led by Ikramul Haq Subhani, worked tirelessly for ten days in the disaster’s aftermath. Known as ‘Pak 10’, the team assisted international counterparts, employing the latest equipment to locate survivors and retrieve victims from the rubble.
President Erdogan extended heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation and the Pakistani people for their unwavering support during this tough time. Responding to President Erdogan’s remarks, Subhani emphasized the deep bond between the two countries, a connection that drives both nations to help one another in hours of need.

Alkhidmat Foundation president, Dr Hafeezur Rehman, congratulated the organization’s workers on receiving the esteemed award, saying that the award represents a source of pride for the nation.
Besides their search and rescue operations, Alkhidmat Foundation provided essential relief supplies, including tents, blankets, food, clothing, hygiene kits, and tarpaulin.
The organization’s relentless efforts have endeared them to the Turkish nation and reinforced the strong bond between the two brotherly countries.
