RIYADH: A group of Turkish pilgrims have arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from Istanbul as part of the Makkah Route Initiative, Arab media reported on Wednesday.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Makkah Route Initiative, launched by Saudi Ministry of Interior in 2019, facilitates Hajj pilgrims to pass effortlessly through immigration facilities at airports in their respective nations.
Turkish Pilgrims Arrive in Jeddah Under Makkah Route Initiative
The initiative enables the pilgrims from seven nations to fulfill all the visa, customs and health formalities at their airports of origin. The initiative will save time of Hajj pilgrims before and on arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
