RIYADH: The Turkish Consul General in Jeddah, Mustafa Unal, and Turkiye’s Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Mehmet Metin Eker have toured the Hira Cultural District in Makkah, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

During the visit, the officials lauded Saudi Arabia efforts to enrich the cultural and religious experience of pilgrims, particularly at sites that hold historical importance for Muslims.

They also visited the Revelation Gallery, which showcases the revelations made to the Prophet Muhammad and educates visitors about the history and legacy of his mission.

The Hira Cultural District, opened in January last year, is a home to the Holy Quran Museum and other items of cultural significance.
