ANKARA: Turkish Deputy Minister Ambassador Faruk Kaymakci on Wednesday expressed hope that special relationship between Pakistan and Turkiye would further strength. He said that the historical relationship between the two brotherly countries would be symbolized by the tree saplings planted.
A tree plantation ceremony was held at the Turkish Foreign Affairs’ Ministry in Ankara to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Türkiye and Pakistan, a press release issued by Pakistan Embassy in Ankara said.
Turkish Deputy Minister Ambassador Faruk Kaymakci hosted the event which was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye Dr. Yousaf Junaid, Pakistani Embassy officials and diplomats of Türkiye.
Pakistan-Turkish Support Each Other During Testing Times
The Deputy Minister highlighted how the two countries had supported each other during testing times, as the bilateral relationship evolved from a strategic point of view.
The Turkish Deputy Minister hoped that the special relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye would further strength.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan’s Ambassador Yousaf Junaid described the relationship and said by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as “One Soul and Two Hearts”.
The Ambassador referred to the connectivity and economic opportunities and the recently inked Trade in Goods Deal as the harbinger of a new era of bilateral relationship with Türkiye.
The ceremony was followed by a bilateral meeting between Pakistani Ambassador and the Türkiye Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakci. During the meeting, both sides discussed the successful visit of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Istanbul. Both sides agreed to follow-up on the decisions taken during the visit of the Prime Minister. – APP
