KABUL: Acting Mines and Petroleum Minister of Afghanistan Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar received Turkish investors in his office who informed him about their desire to invest in the mineral resources of the country.
During the meeting, the Turkish investors said that they are ready to invest in the mineral resources of Afghanistan.
Minister Delawar expressed his gratitude for Turkish investors for their interest in the mines of Afghanistan and pledged to cooperate with them by abiding the mining laws.
Natural resources in Afghanistan
It should be noted that Afghanistan has a number of mineral worth of billions of dollars in its different parts, but these natural resource remained untapped due to decades-old violence in the country. However, as Afghanistan has started witnessing some sort of peace and stability after Taliban came in power in August 2021, there are hopes that these natural riches would be utilised in the best interest of the nation.
