Turkey, UAE Cooperate on Issue of Climate Change

DUBAI: Turkey and the UAE have launched a series of measures aimed at combating challenge of climate change and promoting environmental sustainability.

The two sides signed a number of deals and MoU to further enhance their cooperation in climate-related issues, Arab media reported on Wednesday.

Turkey, UAE Cooperate on Issue of Climate Change

In particular, thirteen cooperation deals focusing on climate action and agriculture were signed during Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan’s trip in February 2022. Emirati firms are making investments in environmental projects, Arab media maintained.

The UAE-based International Holding Company (IHC), via its subsidiary International Energy Holding, has acquired a fifty percent share in Turkish renewable energy firm Kalyon Enerji for 490 million dollars.

Turkish, in collaboration with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other nations, has formed many targets for 2023 to push international climate action.
