Turkey to Keep Israel’s Nuclear Arms on World Agenda: Erdogan

ANKARA:  Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that his country will not allow the issue of Israel’s nuclear weapons to be dropped from the international agenda, Western media reported on Monday.

The President speaking after a cabinet meeting, said the West was trying to justify Israel’s war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. He said Western countries had a fraternity of lies with Israel.

He added that Turkey, will not allow the world to forget the issue of Israel’s nuclear arms.

Earlier speaking at the National Turkish Students’ Union in Istanbul, Erdogan said that Turkey is currently working with more than 2,000 lawyers to file a complaint with the relevant authorities regarding the Israeli massacres in Gaza.

Erdogan says West bound by crusader imperialist ideals

The President said the West, bound by crusader imperialist ideals, stands united against Gaza.

He added that Israel is not a party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of nuclear weapons.

He went on to say that it is quite possible that the US will side with Israel and veto this issue at the United Nations Security Council. He noted that this issue has become the subject of controversy.

Erdogan continued that Turkey would put pressure to ensure Israel is adequately inspected for nuclear arms.
