PARIS: The quake that has shocked Syria and Turkey could cause economic losses exceeding $4 billion, Fitch said on Thursday.
According to Fitch Ratings economic losses are hard to assess as the situation is changing, but it appears likely to exceed $4 billion.

More than 20,000 people have died so far in the earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey on Monday, and the toll is expected to increase as rescuers search the debris for survivors.
