Turkey, Finland, Sweden will hold talks in next week: NATO chief

He added that he “had positive discussions with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan” during his trip to Turkey last week.

He said that they agreed to resume the dialogue in order to call a trilateral meeting between Sweden, Finland, and Turkey at NATO headquarters in March. He added that the countries will discuss “how to complete the accession process” of both Sweden and Finland.

The NATO chief also welcomed that the parliament of Hungary will also start the process to approve the accession protocol of Finland and Sweden in upcoming week.

He added that the significant thing is not whether Sweden and Finland join exactly at the same time but the most significant thing is that the two countries join as soon as possible.
