TUNIS: A Tunisian court has issued international arrest warrants for as many as 12 famous political personalities, including a former prime minister and a former presidential chief of staff, charging these people with constituting a terrorist alliance and conspiring against the state of Tunis, Reuter reported on Tuesday.

Tunis state-run news agency cited a court spokesperson as saying that arrest warrants have been issued for prominent political people in the country. Moreover, the court issued arrest warrants for Moadh Ghannouchi, the son of Ennahda Islamist party leader Rached Ghannouchi. The spokesperson added that all 12 political leaders are abroad nowadays.
