ATLANTA: Donald Trump was indicted on charges of election crimes on Tuesday after a two-year probe.
Trump was charged for his efforts in overturning the results in 2020 polls for his defeat against now United States President Joe Biden in the state of Georgia.
It is the first televised trial of the former president in United States history.

Former president Donald Trump was charged with violation of Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, besides six conspiracy counts for making efforts for alleged forgery with false statements and documents.
A number of co-defendants are also named in the indictment and that also includes Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who is accused of pressuring local legislators over the result after the polls. The other one charged with indictment includes Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows.
