Tribute Paid to Syed Ali Shah Gilani on his Second Martyrdom Anniversary

MUZAFFARABAD: Speakers at a seminar on Friday paid rich tribute to the late Syed Ali Shah Gillani, a legendary leader in Kashmir, on the occasion of his second death anniversary.

The Institute for Dialogue, Development, and Diplomatic Studies (IDDDS) organized the seminar at Scholars School of Sciences and Information Technology in Muzaffarabad.

Speaking at the event, IDDDS Director Dr. Waleed Rasool stated that Syed Ali Shah Gilani, through his struggle for the Kashmiri cause, left a lasting impression on Jammu and Kashmir’s sociopolitical scene.

He added that Gilani had won admiration both locally and internationally for his devotion to self-determination and that his life had been an example of his decades-long steadfast support for Kashmiri rights.

Gilani, Dr. Rasool continued, was a fervent supporter of self-determination who worked diligently to bring the Kashmir conflict to the attention of the world. He believed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir should decide their own political future.

Gilani ardently fought for justice, equality, and human rights throughout his journey, calling for the peaceful settlement of the Kashmir conflict through negotiation and diplomacy. His legacy continues to inspire unity among the people of Kashmir.

The seminar served as a platform for participants to delve into Gilani’s lasting legacy and his profound impact on the Kashmiri struggle. IDDDS Representatives Parvaiz Ah Khan and Iftikhar Kazmi also stressed the vital role played by Syed Ali Shah Gilani in shaping the political landscape of Kashmir.

The seminar was attended by a large number of students, scholars, dignitaries, and members of the community.
