ISLAMABAD: While ensuring payment of compensation amount to the ex-employees of the English language daily, The Nation, Islamabad along with those of Urdu language daily, Nawa-e-Waqt, Islamabad, a departmental representative of the Implementation Tribunal of Newspaper Employees handed over compensatory pay orders to the petitioner’s counsel.
The compensation amount of PKR 1,672,308 was paid in three different cases concerning the two newspapers, according to the documents available with World Echo.
The amount will be distributed among former employees of the two newspapers as per their due share of pending compensation.
The Implementation Tribunal of Newspaper Employees issued the orders on 2 December 2022.
