ISLAMABAD: The UAE Triangular Cricket Series for the Blind’s second edition is set to commence from February 22 to 25 at the ICC Cricket Academy Ground, Sports City, Dubai.

The tournament will feature teams from India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, organized by the Cricket Association for the Blind in India Samarthanam, the World Blind Cricket Council, and well-wishers of Blind Cricket in the UAE, according to a Press release issued on Monday.

Heading the organizing committee is Shabana Abdul Razak, with Nagaraja Rau (Director Bhima UAE) serving as secretary, and Fida Askar (former Ranji Trophy Player), Suku, EK Radhakrishnan, and Anoop Ravi as coordinators and treasurer respectively.

Rajanish Henry, vice president of the World Blind Cricket Council and chairman of CABK, expressed gratitude for the tremendous support from the UAE audience during the inaugural edition, which inspired them to organize the second edition.

Henry emphasized that hosting international events like this aids in fostering inclusivity, particularly through sports like cricket, bridging the gap between visually impaired individuals and mainstream society.

The triangular series not only provides visually impaired players with a platform to showcase their skills but also serves as a source of inspiration for one another.
