This incident follows a similar tragic train mishap that occurred on August 6 when 10 bogies of the Hazara Express derailed near Nawab Shah, resulting in the loss of 25 lives and over 100 individuals sustaining injuries. The Hazara Express was en route from Karachi to Rawalpindi when the derailment took place near Saharai Railway Station, between Shahzadpur and Nawabshah.

The derailment caused several bogies to veer off the tracks, leading to chaos and causing injuries among passengers on board. These recent train accidents highlight the pressing need for enhanced safety measures and infrastructure maintenance within Pakistan’s railway system to prevent such tragic incidents from occurring in the future.
