DUNYAPUR: At least seven people were killed, and four others injured when a trailer crashed into roadside huts in the Kahror area of Dunyapur, a city in the Lodhran District of Punjab province.
The accident occurred when the trailer driver lost control due to over-speeding and skidded off the road, crashing into the huts. Four children and two women were among the dead.
Compensation for Dunyapur accident victims’ families
Rescue and police teams rushed to the scene of the accident and transported the dead and injured to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital. The deputy commissioner and the district police officer announced Rs50,000 in compensation for the families of each of the deceased.
The tragic incident has once again highlighted the need for strict enforcement of traffic laws and regulations to prevent such accidents from occurring.
