ISLAMABAD: Traders in Pakistan have expressed keen interest in buying coffee and tea from Ethiopia at reasonable rates, local media reported on Sunday.

Media reports said that a meeting was also held between Pakistani traders and Ambassador of Ethiopia in Pakistan in this regard. Ambassador of Ethiopia Jemal Beker Abdula said that there is need of quality control mechanism, connectivity and institutional linkage between the two sides because there a huge demand of coffee and team in Pakistan.
He said that work is underway to establish quality control mechanism, connectivity and institutional linkage between the two sides for cooperation in political, economic and social sectors. The envoy further said that the government of Ethiopia is making institutional, legal and economic reforms that ensure ease of doing business, security and produce a conducive atmosphere for Foreign Direct Investment.
