ISLAMABAD: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that if traders were not willing to close and open the shops early, electricity will have to be very costly at night.
No strict decisions for traders at the moment
In a statement, Ahsan Iqbal said that he does not want to take strict measures in the first phase of the energy-saving programme, but if the traders are not willing to close and open the shops early, then electricity will have to be very costly at night.
Rejecting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s white paper, he said that Pakistan will not default as money is coming from Saudi Arabia, and debt from China is going to be rolled over. Ahsan Iqbal said that the International Monitoring Fund will complete the programme and the financial position will improve in six months while the government has decided to privatize the institutions.
