ISLAMABAD: Toyota Indus Motor Company assured that its Hybrid Electric Vehicle plant development is in progress with no deviation from the initial plan as it hinted launching its first locally-assembled car this year.
During a recent financial briefing, the carmaker said that in Q2 of the Financial Year 2023, it posted a profit of 1,331 million rupees, which is down by 72% compared to the corresponding period in last fiscal year. It added that Toyota’s sales fell by 52% in Q2 of Financial Year 2023 compared to the same period last year.
HEV assembly plant on schedule, claims Toyota
Toyota claimed that the HEV assembly plant was on schedule, which means that Corolla Cross may actually enter in the market this year.
The major mechanical and structural developments on the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid are completed and that the company is working on the car’s fit and finish.
