ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) on Monday advised travellers and tourists visiting the Northern Areas of Pakistan to use Karakoram Highway (KKH) to avoid any untoward situation and inconvenience.
The PTDC warned that Babusar Gilgit-Baltistan Road was blocked for all types of traffic because of the recent flooding that submerged a significant stretch of the road leading to the beautiful tourist attraction.
Tourists and travelers should call Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kite Project Helpline-1422 for more information, advice, or in an emergency, to acquire the most recent information on the weather, road, and flood situation.
Travelers who pass via the Babusar Pass enjoy viewing the mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir simultaneously. The most popular tourist destination in the Northern Areas is Babusar Top, 13,700 feet above sea level. —APP
