ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Yusuf Malik, the North Zone Deputy Inspector General of the National Highways and Motorway Police, on Saturday directed drivers heading to tourist sites to obey the traffic rules.
In a statement, the DIG Motorway North Zone said that the Motorway Police had taken several steps to ensure timely assistance and prevent accidents. However, drivers should avoid accidents by following the traffic rules.
He advised drivers, particularly those heading to tourist attractions, to rigorously abide by the law because driving on highways and in mountainous areas required greater experience and caution. Drivers should obey the speed limits, pay attention while driving, use seat belts, ultimately rest before a lengthy trip, and follow all traffic laws to ensure a safe journey.
In light of potential rain, he claimed that Motorway Police had been placed on high alert. —APP
