BEIJING: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Thursday said that promoting tourism and developing rail and road infrastructure was unavoidable to make Pakistan a transitional economy.
The PM made these remarks during a meeting with Wang Haihuai, CEO of China Communications Construction Company and Chairman of China Road and Bridge Corporation.
The heads of the Chinese firms apprised PM Kakar of the ongoing projects of CRBC and CCCC under the umbrella of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Chinese firms keen to invest in Pakistan
They expressed keen interest in enhancing investment in renewable energy, infrastructure development, and other sectors in Pakistan.
The prime minister appreciated the Chinese companies’ projects and their interest in enhancing investment.
He told the heads of Chinese firms that Pakistan was improving its infrastructure.
