Top Leadership Interaction to Further Strengthen Pakistan-China Relations: Solangi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has said that interaction in China between the top leadership of Pakistan and China would further deepen the bilateral relationship to new heights as the caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar would leave for China tomorrow (Monday) to participate in Belt and Road Forum being hosted by the Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

Speaking at a seminar, “CPEC and My Life,” here in Islamabad, the minister said he was happy to know that individuals from the gross-root level were invited to speak about the positive impact of the CPEC on their lives.

He added that the people had immensely benefitted from different CPEC projects such as Thar Coal in Sindh, Orange Train in Lahore, and Gawadar in Balochistan.

Talking about the establishment of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) by Pakistan to provide one-window facilities to the investors, he said that as the CPEC was entering into a new phase, Pakistan was keenly looking forward to more and more bilateral cooperation in agriculture, mining, IT and other sectors.

Pakistan, China Linkages

The minister said enhancement of geographical linkages through improved road, rail, and air networks would boost frequent people-to-people contacts and boost understanding through academic linkages.

He added the higher volume of business and trade would result in integrated development, which would eventually promote harmony and sustainable development.

Solangi said that CPEC is the journey towards economic growth in the globalized world.

He further said that the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, expressed Beijing’s readiness to further promote CPEC in partnership with Pakistan, saying that they were ready to work with their Pakistani colleagues from all walks of life to further promote the projects in the next 10 years of CPEC.
