Thrilling Islamabad Championship Underway with Top Tent Pegging Riders

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Championship, a three-day event that brought together some of the best Tent Pegging riders from around the country, is underway at F-9 Park Islamabad. The competition, organized by the Naqvi Al Bukhari Club of Pakistan in collaboration with the Tajdaare Golra Tent Pegging Club, saw riders compete in various categories, including individual and team events.

The final day of the championship will be filled with excitement as riders battle it for top honors. The event was open to the public, and spectators gathered to watch the riders showcase their skills in this ancient equestrian sport.

The competition was intense, with riders displaying impressive speed, accuracy, and control.

Speaking about the event, Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, President Pakistan Council of Traditional Sports and Games, said, “We are delighted with the success of the Islamabad Championship. It is an incredible event, and we are proud of all the riders who are participating. The competition is tough, but the riders are trying to rise to the challenge, displaying remarkable skills and sportsmanship.”

The Tajdaare Golra Tent Pegging Club, which has a long history of promoting the sport, was instrumental in organizing the event. The club’s members worked tirelessly to ensure that the championship was a grand success.

The championship showcases Pakistan’s rich tradition and culture, highlighting the country’s love for equestrian sports. The organizers of the event hope to continue promoting and preserving the sport of Tent Pegging and plan to host more such events in the future.
