QUETTA: At least three people were injured in a powerful blast in Quetta Sariab Road near a university on Saturday. State-run news agency, APP cited police sources as saying that the attack was carried out via an improvised explosive device (IED).
Police said that the powerful blast was heard far and wide causing panic in the city. However, no one claimed responsibility for the blast. Rescue and security forces rushed to the site immediately following they were informed and shifted injured people to the local hospital where an emergency was being imposed, sources said.
