PESHAWAR: Three terrorists were killed and two army soldiers were martyred during exchange of fire in Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ISPR stated here on Tuesday.
According to the military media wing – ISPR – the terrorists opened fire on a military convoy in Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan. In a prompt response, the security forces retaliated to the attack and killed three terrorists. The security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the terrorists.
ISPR stated that the terrorists were actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.
However, the ISPR stated that during the intense exchange of fire, two soldiers including Lance Naik Muhammad Pannah of Pakistan Army (age 30 years, resident of Jaffarabad District) and Sepoy Shamas Ullah of Frontier Constabulary (age 36 years, resident of South Waziristan District) embraced martyrdom.
The security forces have carried out clearance operation to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
