Three Pakistan Navy Personnel Martyred in Helicopter Crash

QUETTA: Two officers and one solider of the Pakistan Navy were martyred after a helicopter crashed during training in Gwadar area of the country’s southwestern Balochistan province due to a technical issue, a spokesperson of Pakistan Navy said in a statement on Monday.

The Pakistan Navy Spokesperson confirmed the incident in a statement, stating that the unfortunate crash occurred in the Gwadar area of Balochistan during a training flight. It is believed that a technical fault may have contributed to the helicopter crash.

As a result of the crash, two navy officers and one lost their lives, the spokesperson confirmed. An immediate investigation into the crash has been initiated, the spokesperson added.

Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar expressed his deep sorrow over the lives lost in the helicopter crash and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

President Arif Alvi took to twitter and expressed condolences over the tragic loss of lives in the helicopter crash.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari, in a statement shared on the PPP’s social media account, expressed his sadness over the incident and conveyed his condolences to the families of the martyrs.

Former Prime Minister and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif expressed his regret over the incident and offered prayers for the martyrs and their families.

Interim Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and offered prayers for the departed souls and their grieving families.
