PESHAWAR: FIA Peshawar Zone Operations on Tuesday apprehended three accused and recovered foreign local currencies and spurious drugs during various crackdowns against illegal money exchangers and counterfeit drug dealers.
FIA said that during a raid in Shuba bazar, an Anti-Corruption Circle and Commercial Banking Circle team arrested an accused, Kifayatullah, for selling and delivering unregistered medicines and counterfeit.
In a separate operation in Sarafa bazaar, two illegal money exchangers, Mohammad Azam and Fakhr Azam, were arrested and recovered Rs 2.5 million and records of hundi. FIA registered cases against the accused and initiated an investigation. —APP
