HANGU, Pakistan: At least three people were killed and 12 others were injured on Friday when a bomb exploded in a mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district in the second such incident in the day.
At least six injured have been retrieved from the rubble and shifted to the hospital as the mosque caved in. According to initial reports, rescue workers and security personnel have reached the site and cordoned off the area.

According to the police, the blast ripped a mosque inside Doaba Police Station during the final sermon of Friday prayers with at least 30 to 40 worshippers present inside. The total number of casualties is yet to be ascertained as the rescue and relief operation continues.
This is the second bomb attack in Pakistan today, with the first leaving at least 52 dead and 60 others injured at an Eid Miladun Nabi procession in Balochistan’s Mastung district.
