PESHAWAR: At least three police officials sustained critical injuries when terrorists attacked the Dheri Zardad Police Post in the Charsadda district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, DPO Sohail Khalid told journalists here Saturday.
Soon after the attack, the police retaliated to the sudden attack and compelled the attackers to run away for their safety, DPO said.

During the retaliation, three police officials, who were on duty, received bullet injuries and were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment.
A heavy contingent of police personnel rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area, and launched a search operation, the DPO informed. The police officials who were critically injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.
