ADEN: Three suspected al-Qaeda militants have been killed in a US drone strike in the Marib province of Yemen, a local official said on Tuesday.
A US drone struck a vehicle carrying three people near a fuel station in the Wadi Ubaidah district in Marib province, the official told Anadolu news agency on condition of anonymity as he was unauthorized to speak to the media.
The official said the three suspects had recently arrived in Marib. Further details about their nationalities are not available immediately.
Local media reported that an al-Qaeda explosives expert Hassan al-Hadrami was among those killed in the strike. There was no immediate comment from Yemeni or US authorities on the attack.
