DHAKA: Play was once again held up by the weather on Friday during the third day of the second Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

After no play took place on Thursday due to continuous rain, the wet outfield and overnight rain further delayed the start on Friday. Light rain was expected during the day.

On the opening day, fifteen wickets fell, and the tourists found themselves trailing by 117 runs at 55-5 by stumps. Choosing to bat first, Bangladesh managed to score 172 all out in their first innings. The hosts currently lead the two-match series 1-0, securing a 150-run victory in the initial Test held in Sylhet.
