The comedy, delving into existential themes amid mortality, pulled in an impressive 7.08 million yuan (approximately 995,809 US dollars) on its 22nd day in theaters.
Following closely behind is the action-packed crime thriller “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In,” securing the second position with a daily box office haul of 6.42 million yuan.
Meanwhile, the domestic crime thriller “Hovering Blade” clinched the third spot, earning 3.88 million yuan on the same day.
In total, the Chinese mainland’s box office revenue reached 31.95 million yuan on Wednesday.
