ISLAMABAD: Armed men belonging to the banned terrorist organisation Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) have killed the family of a religious preacher in the southwestern city of Noshki, security sources confirmed.

According to sources, BLA terrorists killed preacher Mufti Amshad Ali, his wife, and their children, leaving a four-year-old boy as the sole survivor, deeply traumatised by the attack. The incident underscores the extreme brutality of the banned terrorist outfit.

As the militants entered the house, Mufti Amshad Ali realised that surrender would likely mean certain death. In a final, desperate act to protect his child, he hid his four-year-old son inside a bag, instructing him to remain silent and never cry, no matter what he heard.

Mufti Amshad Ali, his wife, and their children — three-year-old Aneeqa and teenage sons Umair (16) and Talha (14) — were later killed by the attackers.

The young boy remained trapped inside the bag for nearly two days, dehydrated and trembling, surrounded by the silence of a home that had been destroyed.

When he was finally found alive, he was profoundly traumatised. Family members report that he has stopped speaking and fear he may never fully return to a normal life.

The tragic episode highlights the ongoing threat posed by banned terrorist groups in the region and their devastating impact on innocent civilians.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan’s security forces have recently concluded a major counter-terrorism military campaign in Balochistan, killing 216 militants during days-long operations launched after coordinated attacks across the province last month.

Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said the operation sent a “clear message” to those behind the violence, accusing the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) of targeting civilians and labourers at India’s behest.

“Pakistan will not compromise on its unity, development, and the protection of its people,” Bugti said in a post on X, warning that any attempt to destabilise the country would be met with a decisive response.

Security forces have continued mop-up operations in parts of Balochistan following the attacks, while mobile internet services and some train routes remained suspended in affected areas earlier this week.
