Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area Jani Khel, Bannu on reported presence of terrorists.
According to the military’s media wing Inter-Service Public Relations, during the intense exchange of fire, one terrorist was killed on the spot.
The ISPR further said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the slain terrorist.
According to the ISPR, the terrorist was actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.
The identity of the slain terrorist could not be ascertained, however.
