ISIS behind the attack on oil field workers: SHOR
British-based war monitor accused “cells of the Daesh group” of the carrying out the assault near the oil field.
A director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), Rami Abdel Rahman, said that the attack began with explosives that went off as the buses drove by, and then the militants shot at them.

The attack took place a day after the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced an offensive against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The SDF made the announcement following an earlier assault on a prison in Raqqa, northwest of the site of bus attack.
