ISLAMABAD: Say goodbye to deep-fried bread rolls and say hello to a healthier yet equally delicious alternative! Indulge in these guilt-free tawa bread rolls.

Ingredients:

  • 5 slices of bread
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped beans
  • 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsp pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Trim the edges of the bread slices and flatten them with a rolling pin.
  2. For the filling, mash some boiled potatoes and mix in chopped onions, carrots, and beans.
  3. Add spices like red chili powder, pepper, coriander powder, and salt to taste, and mix well.
  4. Place the filling onto the flattened bread and roll it up, sealing the edges with cornflour slurry.
  5. Pan-fry the rolls on a tawa until golden brown, then remove them from the heat.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dip.
