CAIRO: Talks in Cairo aimed at brokering a truce and a prisoner-captive exchange in Israel’s conflict with Gaza have been prolonged by three days, according to the New York Times.
The discussions, involving Egypt, Israel, the United States, and Qatar, initially concluded on Tuesday without significant progress.
In Cairo, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, and CIA Director William Burns deliberated on key issues including the ceasefire, civilian protection, and enhanced aid delivery to Gaza, as reported by Egypt’s state information service.
