Talks Continue for Employment Opportunities Abroad for Skilled Workers: Minister

PESHAWAR: Sajid Hussain Turi, Federal Minister for Labour, Human Resources, and Overseas Pakistanis, on Sunday said that 664000 workers have already been sent to different countries for employment and 1 million more are in the pipeline.

Addressing a ceremony at the Governor Cottage Parachinar, Kurram, the minister said that talks with different countries continue to find honorable livelihoods for skilled workers.

Deputy Commissioner Kurram Wasil Khan Khattak and District Police Officer Abdul Samad Khan along with other notable locals were also present on the occasion.

The minister calls for connectivity

The minister said that besides the construction of a standard road to access the Central Asian countries by land, a railway track is being laid while a business hub would be also established at Tal, Hangu. 

He said that NADRA offices were also being opened in Alizai, Bagun Doggar, Upper Kurram, and Sameer districts.

He further said that government would provide cash assistance and scholarships to the students under Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
