DUBAI: According to a statement from the Syrian military, an Israeli air strike occurred early on Tuesday, originating from the Golan Heights and targeting positions on the outskirts of Damascus.
This strike caused some material damage, as reported by the Syrian state news agency SANA.
There has been no immediate comment from Israeli officials. Israel has heightened its attacks on Iranian-backed militia targets in Syria since the October 7 attack by the Palestinian militant group Hamas on Israeli civilians and soldiers. Additionally, Israel has targeted Syrian army air defenses and certain Syrian forces.
