Staff Report

ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) witnessed a promising rise in sales the previous month, thanks to the continued success of Alto.

Despite that, the company’s cluttered lineup of small cars has a few redundancies that aren’t selling well as of late. One such vehicle is ‘Wagon R’. According to the recent updates, PSMC is planning to retire the Wagon R from its lineup and the Bolan.

The report added that the PSMC’s parent company is no longer making completely knocked down (CKD) kits of Wagon R following its international discontinuation. No CKD kits for Pakistan means eventual discontinuation here as well. A verification in this regard from the PSMC is still awaited.

Replacement of Suzuki Bolan

In late September, it was revealed that Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) had placed every launch on the backburner due to production and economic issues. Sources said that the automaker has to gear up to begin work on the minivan once again. They stated that PSMC is reaching out to the vendors to source various elements for the vehicle.
