ISLAMABAD: The ruling parties, comprising Pakistan Mulsim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan People Party (PPP), and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Saturday demanded the formation of Supreme Court’s (SC) full court bench to hear the Suo motu notice taken over the apparent delay in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa general elections.
The plea was moved through senior lawyers Farooq H Naek, Kamran Murtaza, and Masoor Usman Awan also sought the exclusion of Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi.
Request for formation of full court bench
It is worth noting here that the ruling alliances. Particularly the PML-N has showed reservations over some of the apex court judges in the past, including cases related to PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif. In the current case the ruling alliance again showed the same reservations and have requested for full bench.
