SUKKUR: Kashmir Black Day was observed in Sukkur on Friday to denounce the illegal Indian occupation of Kashmir and reiterate Pakistan’s unwavering support for the just cause of the Kashmiri people.
A solidarity walk was led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sukkur, Fayyaz Hussain Mahesar, with a substantial number of participants, including public officials, lawyers, and members of civil society. Placards and banners bearing anti-Indian slogans were carried, along with Kashmiri and Pakistani flags.
Speakers paid homage to the Kashmiris’ struggle for self-determination and the supreme sacrifices made by three generations who have endured 76 years of illegal Indian occupation. They expressed deep concern over the world’s indifference to the issue.

Addressing the participants, the deputy commissioner underscored the day’s significance, emphasizing that 76 years ago, Indian security forces landed in Srinagar, illegally occupying the territory and subjecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir to clear violations of international law and humanitarian norms.
