MIRPUR: Chairman of the World Kashmir Awareness Forum USA, Ghulam Nabi Fai Friday said that several US presidents and leaders have supported the Jammu and Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination at different points in history.

He emphasized that this fundamental right of the Kashmiris is a universally acknowledged reality and that it cannot be modified.

Dr. Fai also provided a list of US presidents who have expressed support for the cause of Kashmir, with Barack Obama, George W. Bush and then FM General Colin Powell being the main leaders who supported this fundamental right to self-determination. -determination.

Dr Fai went on to point out that former President Bush had said: “A solution to Kashmir must be acceptable not only to India and Pakistan, but also to the people of Kashmir.” General Powell said “Kashmir is on the international agenda,” while former President Barack Obama said, “Kashmir has been a long-standing dispute, and I told the Indian prime minister that we are willing to help in any way that the parties see fit suitable for tension relief. It serves the interests of the US, the region and both countries (Pakistan and India)”.
