Study in Malaysia Education Fair in Pakistan Attracts Aspiring Students in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Study in Malaysia Education Fair in Pakistan was held in Islamabad on Wednesday, providing Pakistani students and their parents with an opportunity to explore a wide range of educational programs offered by top Malaysian universities.

Organized by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) at a local hotel in Islamabad, the education fair drew significant interest from visitors eager to learn about studying in Malaysia.

Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, officiated the education fair, emphasizing the strong educational ties between Malaysia and Pakistan. A distinguished lineup of Malaysian universities participated, including University Putra Malaysia (UPM), Multimedia University (MMU), University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), UCSI University, INCEIF University, University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), University of Cyberjaya (UoC), University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and University Malaya (UM).

Visitors had the opportunity to interact directly with university representatives, gaining valuable insights into various courses and programs available. Visitors learned about admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and the vibrant student life that Malaysia has to offer.

The event also featured informative seminars and workshops focused on key topics such as visa procedures, scholarships and career prospects for international students in Malaysia.

Malaysia has established itself as a preferred destination for international students, renowned for its high-quality education system, multicultural environment, and affordable living costs. According to recent statistics from EMGS, Pakistan ranks among the top five countries for new applications to study in Malaysia for 2024.

Since 2020, more than 7,000 applications from Pakistani students have been recorded, reflecting a growing interest in pursuing higher education in Malaysia.
