ISLAMABAD: Speakers and education experts called upon the students and youth of Pakistan to utilize their energies for discouraging radicalization and explore their potential for building a peaceful Pakistan.
The speakers said this on day gathering titled Pegham-e-Pakistan Conference on the role of Youth for promoting peace in Pakistan, held at Hazara University’s Iqbal Hall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday. Students from the department of History, Islamic Study, education, and Linguistics of Haripur University, teachers, and other dignitaries attended the conference.

Students Role
The conference was arranged in the context of sharing awareness with students of different universities about those radical elements spreading terror and radical narratives in the name of religion. The speakers were of the view that the current and future generations should come up with a counter-religious narrative to discourage all those who challenge the writ of the country.
The ongoing conference was a follow-up of such initiatives being held in different universities in Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Islamabad and other parts of the country to play part in building a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
In the recent past, the Council of Islamic Ideology initiated the move resulting in the tabling of a document on Pegham-e-Pakistan in the parliament for legislative cover in the future.
