CHARSADDA: Students at the Bacha Khan University Charsadda (BKUC) have protested against the university administration for imposing heavy fines on them and against on-campus sexual harassment cases.
The protesters took control of the main central gate of the university. They chanted slogans against the vice chancellor (VC) and other officers of the university. The teachers were also detained inside the university building during the protest. The police tried to hold negotiations by calming them but could not reach a final agreement as the protesters demanded the Bacha Khan University Charsadda (BKUC) Vice-chancellor (VC), Bashir Ahmad, to hold talks with the protesters at the central gate of the university.

The protesters in protest also made serious allegations of sexual harassment against Bacha Khan University Charsadda (BKUC) management. They claimed that female students feel uncomfortable and unsafe in the university.

On the other hand, the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Bacha Khan University Charsadda, Bashir Ahmad, stated that some students were fined by university management for harassing girls in the pharmacy department.
