KYIV: Local officials said that the death toll from a Russian missile attack that hit a flat block in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia surge to eleven on Saturday following a woman’s dead body was found in the rubble.
The state emergency service said in a statement that one kid was among the killed in Thursday’s strike on residential building in Zaporizhzhia. The state emergency service posted the statement on the social media messaging app on Saturday.
Officials say strike kills 11 in Ukraine
According to the local officials a Russian S-300 missile had targeted the building in Zaporizhzhia. In a statement via Telegram shortly following the strike, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy pledged to hold Russia accountable for the missile attack. He said that Moscow wants to turn every day for their people into a day of terror. He added that they will not reign in their soil. Volodymyr Zelenskiy further said that they will drive all the occupiers out from their country and they will be held accountable for all things.
